Well after what has seemed like an eternity, I checked on my Xbox repair status at the Xbox support site and found this:

HURRAY! Well now, after what will also seem like an eternity, I have to wait. Sigh. I am probably so bad at Halo 3 now that my rank will instantly drop a hundred points. Most of all, yea this is gonna sound corny, I miss the people that I play with. It supports what I have been telling those video game haters of Halo all along. The game is good, but it is the interaction and friendships that make it EXCELLENT! Well, now that my sentimental moment is over, lets anxiously await the return of my Xbox…is it here yet…sigh. For those I routinely play with, I am on my way, so save me some kills. For everyone else, enjoy this little vacation you have had. Soon, very soon (I hope), you and your allies will be in my sniper cross hairs…bang…brunothekid sniped you…muwhaha.
