Well tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. There are many myths surrounding this holiday. It IS named after St. Valentine. It is not however the most “proposed” on day of the year. New Year’s and many other days easily beat it out. It also is not the largest candy selling day, Christmas and Halloween wipe the slate with Valentine’s Day. While these facts are interesting, some myths that are more relevant to the men in the here and now have my attention. I will not take someone else’s thunder, so go to AskMen.com for a kind of do’s and don'ts for men on Valentine’s Day. For you guys that are clueless right now, I urge you to go there and get to the store, and HURRY!
Even though this sounds not so manly, Valentine’s Day is very special to me. It has grown from a day that I have to buy Lord only knows what for Lord only knows how much, to developing into a family holiday. I still enjoy doting on my spouse on this day ( however much I can afford), but now I have a little girl and another on the way. This could get real expensive real fast. But right now the hugs, kisses, and “Thank you duddy” is well worth it. So enough of this cheezy sentimentalism. Happy Valentine’s Day and what time does the game come on and did you see that hot car (insert Tim Allen “ruff ruff ruff ruff”).
P.S. Hope you have a great Valentine’s Day like my daughter is having.
